1. Who we are
Planet Hum Mastering is run by Planet Hum Music Group, Stockholm, Sweden. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, email address, artist or label name.
- Order details — the services you order, your notes and our correspondence with you.
- Your audio files and any reference tracks you send.
- Payment records — what was paid and when. When online payment is introduced, payments are handled by PayPal; we never see your full card details.
Browsing this website
This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and its fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting it doesn't send your data to third parties. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
3. Why we use it
- To carry out your order — mastering your files, delivering masters and handling revisions (performance of a contract).
- To answer your questions before you order (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
- To keep accounting records, as Swedish law requires (legal obligation).
- To list released records as credits on our website — artist name, title and cover art only, and never if you ask us not to (legitimate interest).
We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your data.
4. How long we keep it
- Audio files and masters: 90 days after delivery, then deleted.
- Emails and order correspondence: as long as needed to handle your order and any follow-up questions.
- Accounting records (such as invoices and receipts): seven years, as required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data — including your audio files — unless we have to keep it by law;
- limit or stop how we use it, or move it to another provider.
Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
7. Security
Your files are only accessed to work on your order, kept on access-controlled systems, and deleted on schedule. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
8. Changes & contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
